October 26 & 27, 2020 ---The Proclamation of 1763
MONDAY/TUESDAY:
The British government faced several problems after the French and Indian War. One problem was how to keep the colonists and Native Americans from killing each other as settlers pushed west for new land. King George III figured if the colonists stayed to the east of the Appalachian Mountains and the Native Americans stayed west of them, everyone would be happy!!
Chapter 5 Review--use the text book to look at Taxes imposed--and incidents leading up to the Boston Massacre

MONDAY/TUESDAY:
Be sure to note the work involved in setting up simple pages for printing. You will have to think about what it would take to print an entire newspaper, and think about the graphics you see in our sample paper today. ----
- Review of Clicker Questions for Chapter 4
- Today we are going to be looking at a copy of a primary source, The Pennsylvania Gazette from 1739. It is equally important to understand a bit about the history of the printing press and amount of time and energy that went into printing a paper in the 1700's. After viewing the video clips and participating in a classroom activity, you will have a better understanding of Colonial times and the audience for which the paper was produced for.
